Course contents
The Course of General Sociology aims to help the student to see and to analyse the main social trends of the modern society. This goal will be facilitated by the explication of the main sociological concepts and by the presentation of the main methodologies and techniques of social research, used by some “classic” and modern sociologists. So the student will be able to better appreciate the social relevance of the leisure time, and in it of the sport and fitness/wellness activities.
In the Course you can distinguish three parts, the following ones:
a) in the general part the Course will present the main concepts of the sociological theory and methodology.
b) in the monographic part the Course will present the main findings of sociological researches, which seems to be useful to study sport and fitness/wellness activities.
c) the aim of the seminarial part of the Course is to promote the student's cognitive interests, and to show studies and empirical researches in the sociology field, which be useful to satisfy them.

Assessment methods
You can gain the 6 Ufc.s assigned to the Integrated Course in General and Communicative Sociology by a writed exam. It will consist of 30 questions about the 3 books of the minimum program, or of 40 or more questions about the 4 or more books of the enlarged program; you choised these ones between the above listed books.
Questions and answears will be already written in the questionnaire, so that the student will have only to choise the answear(s) which he/she will keep as right.
Time: 1' for each topic, maximum 30' for the minimum program, +10' for each choised book.
You can pass the exam if you'll gain 18 right answears in the test for minimum program, and +6 right answears for each choised book (enlarged program)– for each positive proof in your choised books, you'll have 3 points to add at your score.
2 important info.s about your examination:
a) in order to be admitted to the exam: You had to be present at minimum to the 70% of the lessons. Presences under this minimum may be integrated by studying a book more than the minimum program (a forth book, choised between the listed ones). No presence at all don't allow to gain the Uec.s, so that the student cannot be admit to the exam.
b) In order to be registered to the roll-call: You had to insert your name in the electronic list for the exam within the 5th day before the fixed date (you can have access to the e-list in the UniWex website, at the url: https://uniwex.unibo.it/uniwex/index.do ).
