Learning outcomes

Principles of interaction between radiation and matter,  group theory, calculation of structural parameters and molecular properties,  linear and nonlinear spectroscopy, laser spectroscopy.

Course contents

Semi-classical treatment of the radiation-matter interaction. Group theory: principles and spectroscopic applications. Linear and non-linear spectroscopy, Fourier transform spectroscopy (if time permits). Basic of ab initio calculations (if time allows).
