Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide the students with teoretical and empirical capabilities to read the  educational processes and systems in the contemporary global society.

Course contents

Lessons will be structured in three parts:

  1. The first theoretical part will be about the analysis of research themes in Sociology of Education. We will also introduce the main models used to understand the educational processes and institutions.
  2. In the second part we will study social representations and state of life of migrant minors, paying particular attention on educational processes.
  3. In the third part we will analyse informal  contexts of socialisation.
