Museums

Bologna Metropolitan Museums Card

Thanks to the Metropolitan Museums Card students can visit more than 30 museums in the city of Bologna for free, including the University Museums, and take advantage of special reductions (up to 50% in addition to the discount applicable to university students) to visit museums, exhibitions, theatres, cinemas and take part in exclusive festivals and activities in Bologna.

The students of the University of Bologna can buy the Card for €20, instead of €25, and enjoy the advantages it offers for 12 months. To buy the card and enjoy its advantages, students will need to provide their university badge in stores or online.

Bologna Musei Institution

The Bologna Musei Institution gives the University of Bologna students the possibility to access for free to the following museums: MAMbo - Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna, Museo Morandi, Casa Morandi, Villa delle Rose, Museo per la Memoria di Ustica, Museo Civico Archeologico, Museo Civico Medievale, Collezioni Comunali d'Arte, Museo Civico d'Arte Industriale e Galleria Davia Bargellini, Museo del Patrimonio Industriale, Museo e Biblioteca del Risorgimento, Museo internazionale e biblioteca della musica.

In order to take advantage of this opportunity, it is necessary to show the university badge and the certificate of registration to the current academic year.

 

Theatres

Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Bologna

The Fondazione Teatro Comunale di Bologna gives regularly-enrolled students and PhD students at the University of Bologna the following discounts for its opera performances:

- tickets for B, C, P and “non-season ticket” performances at a price of €10. Tickets can be bought starting one month before the debut of each opera, while still available. Students must present their university badges and a self-certification that they are enrolled in the current academic year;

- any unsold tickets for other performances can be bought at a price of €10 starting 1.5 hours before the performance.

A rehearsal of Michele Mariotti’s concert for under 30-year-olds - 21 June at 10.30 a.m.

On the occasion of the Festa della Musica, the Teatro Comunale of Bologna is offering young people the opportunity to watch the rehearsal of the concert to be performed by one of Italy’s most acclaimed conductors, for a nominal fee of only €2. Pieces by Gioachino Rossini, Antonín Dvořák and Johannes Brahms will be performed.
