The University responded concretely and quickly to the global emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It immediately made available the multidisciplinary resources and competences of its community, intervening in more than one hundred project proposals in response to the main calls for funding in relation to COVID-19 promoted by regional, national, and European entities.
Research projects cover multiple areas – from medicine and enabling technologies to economic and social fields – and are available in the following sections:
To encourage partnerships aimed at taking concrete action in the fight against the pandemic, the University of Bologna is proposing different collaboration formats and actively responding to businesses’ necessity for scientific research and validation.
"COVID-19 Research@UNIBO" Database
The University of Bologna has created a dynamic and constantly updated Database that aims to promote synergies within the research sector and between research and productive activities.
The Database is a repository for ideas, services, and the projects of the research groups at the University of Bologna whose intention is to share ideas and projects to create opportunities for collaboration with the scientific community, institutional partners, and national and international businesses. The information in the Database pertains to different areas: from medicine and technology to social and economic fields.
The Database facilitates direct contact to start joint research projects and develop ideas to overcome the challenges posed by the current heath crisis.
