Abstract

The project "Adrion master on Circular Economy and Bioeconomy" (AMOCEAB) aims to raise competences of strategic relevance for the ADRION Area in the fields of Circular Economy (CE) and BioEconomy (BE). This will be done through the achievement of three specific objectives: 1. to enhance the capacity of partners to develop solutions and knowledge focused on CE and BE; 2. to develop a joint academic path, aimed at training and introducing on the market new expertise on CE and BE; 3. to promote and disseminate the new academic path to considerably increase the capacity of universities and business supporting organization to produce expertise in CE and BE solutions. A transnational partnership composed by higher research institutions and business support centres from 4 ERDF countries (IT, GR, SI, HR) and 3 IPA II countries (AL, BiH and SE) will cooperate to, firstly create a structured transnational network for scientific exchanges, and secondly to concretely prepare and implement a Master's Degree Programme in CE and BE. The creation of an AMOCEAB transnational network (Output1) will be essential to jointly define internal rules and to establish an academic commitee to define technical-scientific Master's contents. However, this network will be configured as a sort of open lab, through which participants will be able to exchange and disseminate scientific knowledge on CE and BE, i.e the Result 1 of this project. Online roundtables among partner, also encompassing a sharing of scientific knowledge and internal/local meetings will be used at this purpose. Furthermore, the partners will have the opportunity to deepen their exchanges through an in-presence Winter School and Boot Camp, lasting one week in Italy, at the Polytechnic University of Marche. Here, the partner will exchange insights and opinions on how to structure the Master, both from a content and technical/administrative point of view. On the basis of these exchanges, the partner will then define an overall Transnational Strategy and an Action Plan (Output2) to foster CE and BE key principles in the ADRION Area, i.e Result 2, through the creation of a Master's Degree in CE and BE (MDCEB). This academic course of study will be configured as a transnational learning path, through which students could spend periods of study from abroad to follow different modules /lessons, under the responsibility of each university involved in the AMOCEAB Network. The Master will have a practical cut, training students with innovative activities and compulsory internships, necessary for the creation of new professional figures specialized in CE and BE, to be used as "agents of change" by public and private entities, in the ADRION Area.
