The European Researchers’ Night returns on 26 September 2025.

The evening will be devoted entirely to research and will be rich in discovery and wonder, with live demonstrations, experiments, games, workshops and much more for curious audiences of all ages, face to face with the researchers of the SOCIETY consortium. The grouping is formed by the Universities of Bologna and Ferrara, five national research bodies including the National Research Council of Italy (CNR, project coordinator), the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF), the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), and the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), together with the Cineca interuniversity consortium. The project is also supported by the company Naxta.

In a global context marked by crises such as pandemics and climate change, science offers concrete solutions. Entitled SOCIETY reAGIAMO, the event seeks to foster dialogue between research and society, promoting positive action and collaboration. Direct contact between the public and researchers helps to generate innovative ideas and raise awareness of today’s challenges. SOCIETY reAGIAMO aims to inspire new generations, encourage dialogue across disciplines, and engage citizens, students, teachers and research professionals. The Night’s activities will address themes such as sustainability, technological innovation, health, fairness and inclusion, bringing the public closer to cutting-edge research and creativity.

The SOCIETY reAGIAMO project is an event associated with the European Union’s “MSCA and Citizens” initiative, under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (call identifier: HORIZON-MSCA-2023-CITIZENS-01), and is supported by the partner institutions of the SOCIETY consortium.
