The Alfa and Beta study rooms are open all-day until late in the evening and they offer a comfortable study environment for university students in Cesena. The university seat of Cesenatico also offers a study room for a non-stop, all-day access. During the pandemic emergency and until further notice, it is mandatory to wear a FFP2 mask covering nose and mouth when accessing the room. Students who do not wear a mask shall not be admitted.
The ALFA and BETA study rooms have been recently equipped with high-performance and efficient PCs. From the workstations, students will also have the possibility of accessing the Virtual Laboratories (VDI infrastructure) of the Campus of Cesena.
During the pandemic emergency and until further notice, the opening hours may be subject to variations, in accordance with emergency provisions.
The ALFA multimedia study room
Located within the former slaughterhouse building, this room is equipped with 20 PC workstations and several reading and Internet connection desks for the connection of the student’s own laptop or notebook, for a maximum capacity of 52 students, which is reduced to 21 posts according to the Phase 3 of COVID-19 Emergency Protocol.
Inside the study room, students can also connect to Internet in wireless mode thanks to the AlmaWifi wireless coverage.
Printing Service
The study room is equipped with two printing machines for the printing in Black and White. The service is free of charge: each student can print a maximum volume of 1,000 pages per year (from 1st of September to 31st of July) upon providing for two stacks of paper including 500 sheets each. The paper provided by the student must be non-recycled paper in good condition/quality and with a weight of 80 g/m2.
Additionally, students can use their own laptop or notebook to print the documents by following the installation instructions.
The BETA study and reading room
Situated in the square in front of the railways station, this room is equipped with 4 PC workstations and several reading desks including Internet-connection for the student’s own laptop or notebook.
The room also offers the Erasmus zone which is destined to international students and it includes 8 reading desks (one of which is equipped with a desktop PC).
The maximum capacity of the study room is of 60 students, which isreduced to 28 according to the Phase 3 of the COVID-19 Emergency Protocol.
Inside the study room, students can also connect to Internet in the wireless mode thanks to the AlmaWifi wireless coverage.
The Multipurpose Study Room
Located within the Campus of Cesena in Via dell’Università 50, this room offers a capacity of 136 study posts, 17 of which include a PC workstation.
The room is open Mon to Fri, from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm.
Inside the study room, students are allowed to eat their meals only from 12:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Study room of Aquaculture - Cesenatico
Situated at the teaching building hosting the courses in Aquaculture in Via Margini 31 - Cesenatico, this room has a capacity of 24 study posts, which is reduced to 15 posts according to the COVID-19 Emergency Protocol.
The room is open Mon to Fri from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.
