Admission requirements and assessment of previously acquired knowledge/competences

1.1 To be able to profitably follow the 2nd cycle degree programme in Neurosciences and Neuro-Psychological Rehabilitation, students must have acquired:

- 1st cycle degree knowledge of general, physiological, dynamic and clinical psychology;

- 1st cycle degree knowledge ofthe elective and supplementary subjects in classes 34 pursuant to D.M. 509/1999 and L-24 pursuant to D.M. 270/2004;

- Basic knowledge of the English language.

1.2 For admission to 2nd cycle degree programmes, applicants must meet at least one of the following admission requirements:

§ a 1st cycle degree in one ofthe following classes:

- ex Italian Ministerial Decree 270/2004: Class L-24;

- ex Italian Ministerial Decree 509/1999: Class 34:

§ a suitable qualification obtained abroad meeting the requirements of current legislation;

§ a 1st cycle degree with at least 88 CFU in subject areas from M-PSI/01 to M-PSI/08 (at least 6 CFU for each subject area M-PSI/01, M-PSI/02, M-PSI/03, M-PSI/04, M-PSI/05, M-PSI/06, M-PSI/07 and M-PSI/08).

1.3 Admission to the 2nd cycle degree programme is in any case subject to the passing of an oral and/or written entrance exam to assess personal competences and skills and if required the assessment of the applicants' CV. English language knowledge and skills will also be tested. The Degree Programme may require students to recover any initial deficit in their language skills if they are assessed to below level B1on admission. The test will comply with the criteria and procedures laid down in the Call for Admission for each 2nd cycle degree programme, as defined annually by the Degree Programme Board.

1.4 Students exercising the right of option from an old to the new degree programme system are exempted from the assessmentof their personal competences and skills.

1.5 A special Admissions session may be held for international students, with a Board appointed to assess the candidates' personal competencies and skills; this session will be compatible with the schedule established in the call for applications for study grants (which indicatively expires in May).
