Learning outcomes

Introduction and perspectives in Pharmacy course is a survey of the profession of pharmacy including its history, evolving scope of practice, ethical foundations, regulation, educational and career opportunities, and more. Topics relating to medication use and drug development are explored through the course lectures and interviews with practicing pharmacists. Upon completion of this course students will be able to: - detail the educational, career pathways related to the profession of pharmacy; - describe issues relating to medication safety, adverse drug events, drug pollution and health policies; - explain some of the regulatory and ethical considerations in pharmacy practice; - know the professional fields and the potentialities of this kind of degree - have a knowledge of the research net present in the surrounding.
