Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the students should know the psalm-poems of the 20th century. Morevoer, they should be able to understand and contextualize a text in German language.

Course contents

The other tradition: Cultural Heritage in the German Psalm-Poems by Nelly Sachs and Paul Celan

The course is dedicated to the poems by Nelly Sachs and Paul Celan which - by form or content - refer to the Psalms.

The course is held in German language.

The teacher will upload to Virturale the materials and texts dealt with during the course and to be prepared for the exam. These materials have to be used only by the students of the course.

Assessment methods

Students will be required to present the poems and the subjects dealt during the lessons.

For non attending students the exam is the same.

For more information non attending students have to contact the teacher.
