Chiara Conterno studied at the Universities of Padua and Würzburg and did her PhD at the Universities of Padua and Munich (Cotutelle). 2010-2016 she was post-doc researcher at the University of Verona; 2013 she was lecturer at the University of Padua and 2014-2015 at the University of Mantua. Since 2016 she has been teaching German Literature at the University of Bologna where she works as Researcher (RTD B – senior).
Her research interests focuses on German-Jewish literature from the Enlightenment to the 21th century; Briefkultur (exchange of letters); cultural transfer between Germany and Italy; contemporary poetry, transcultural authors. She translates from German into Italian.
