Chiara Conterno studied at the Universities of Padua and Würzburg and did her PhD at the Universities of Padua and Munich (Cotutelle). 2010-2016 she was post-doc researcher at the University of Verona; 2013 she was lecturer at the University of Padua, 2014-2015 at the University of Mantua and 2016-2017 at the University of Verona. Since 2016 she has been teaching German Literature at the University of Bologna where she works as Professoressa Associata.
Her research interests focuses on German-Jewish literature from the Enlightenment to the 21th century; Briefkultur (exchange of letters); cultural transfer between Germany and Italy in the 18th century; contemporary poetry, dream and literature, transcultural authors, cultural heritage. She translates from German into Italian.
