Matlab - Campus Licence

Following an agreement with MathWoks, the University has activated the MATLAB Campus Licence, thanks to which all lecturers, researchers, students and administrative staff can install MATLAB and Simulink applications (including 50 toolboxes/libraries) on their computers, as well as follow courses online for free.

What is it?

MATLAB is a development environment for numerical computing, statistical analysis and simulation, used by millions of people in industries and universities throughout the world, applied to Economy, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Medicine, Biology.  Simulink is a graphical environment for multi-domain simulation and Model-Based Design, integrated with MATLAB.

Who can use it

The software is available to all members of the Università di Bologna community: lecturers, researchers, administrative staff and students, with a username and password (@unibo.it or @studio.unibo.it).

What does the licence include?

The campus licence includes the MATLAB and Simulink applications as well as 50 toolboxes and libraries. View the list of extensions included in the licence.

The software is available for a number of operative systems.

The licence includes MathWorks technical support (using the email address support@mathworks.it).

Additionally it allows to follow online courses for free.

What are the use limitations?

Use is reserved exclusively for teaching or public research activities (results must be published and not exclusive to a company). Therefore it cannot be used for commercial activities.

Additionally, the computers on which the software is installed must be property of Università di Bologna or privately owned. The software cannot be installed on computers belonging to other institutions or research centres, even if they collaborate with the University.
