Laurea Specialistica (Second cycle degree) in Nursing and Obstetric Sciences

The 2nd cycle degree forms nurses and obstetricians with management functions within the health care service sector and with educational functions and nursing services and obstetric research in health care.

Graduates of the 2nd cycle degree programme in nursing and obstetric sciences will perform the following functions:

• Intervene in the health care processes with advanced skills and aimed at pursuing innovation and progress of the nursing and obstetric studies in the healthcare-clinical sector;
• Conduct clinical-healthcare, organisational and educational research;
• Participate in research in the medical field and promote the communication of proof of effectiveness;
• Perform activities of educational planning and teaching of any type of class in university studies and/or professional updating implemented by medical and professional organisations;
• Direct nursing and obstetric services in simple or complex medical structures, programming, organising, managing and evaluating resources and activities and managing the budget.
