KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ABILITY:
Graduates:
- will know the evolution of the training concept in relation to the specific fields of professional education and training;
- will know the major phenomena modifying the labour market characterising modern society;
- will know the regional system of participating to national and European calls for financing applications;
- will know and understand the main methodological-educational, psychological, sociological, anthropological and historical-philosophical aspects related to the fields of studies of education and training.
The above-listed knowledge and understanding abilities are achieved through attending the degree programme lessons and home study provided by the course units especially in the basic and core curriculum subject areas, with strong emphasis on the studies in the pedagogical, historical, philosophical, social-anthropological and psychological areas. Assessment is accomplished mainly through oral and written exams.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND TO UNDERSTAND:
Graduates:
- will know how to plan and coordinate training interventions in the above-listed services and institutions;
- will know how to manage tutoring and monitoring roles and evaluating interventions;
- will know how to collaborate in the building of networks among the players and institutions which intervene in the above-mentioned fields;
- will know the legislation pertaining to the policies in the field of labour and professional training;
- will know how to plan and conduct training courses for operators and professionals of the sector;
- will be able to cooperate in the field of advising and functional, social literacy of migrants.
Achieving the ability to apply the knowledge and understanding listed above is achieved through lessons and activities of critical reflections on suggested texts, study of applicable cases, carrying out activities of simulations provided especially in the area of applied education and labour psychology, professional advising and pedagogy, as well as course units connected to the specific professional skills of the educated figure. Internships also contribute to develop the expected applicable skills. Assessment is through written reports on which students apply tools and methods of observation, planning and documentation. The internship is assessed througha written report accompanied by the opinion of the in-company tutor and university supervisor.
JUDGEMENT SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will know how to gather, interpret and reflect on the data pertaining to their field of study, demonstrating critical-scientific and self-critiquing abilities;
- will know how to conduct materials and documentation research independently which is functional to the learning of working and productive contexts;
- will possess the skills for monitoring and evaluating projects and interventions in the above-listed fields.
Judgement skills are developed in particular during basic course units, which supply differentiated applicative epistemological and methodological foundations as well as through participation to workshops inspired to various professional organisations. The final paper and reports on the internship activities allow for assessing the achievement of critically founded independent professional skills.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will possess the written and oral knowledge of at least one European language in addition to Italian;
- will possess adequate skills and tools to communicate and manage information;
- will know how to build documentation by utilising conventional and digital languages and know how to submit it to public or private interlocutors;
- will know the principal computer applications.
Communication skills are developed in different ways as part of the course: preparation of written reports in Italian and in a foreign language, their oral exposition, writing and discussing the final paper, and multimedia documentation of the workshop and internship activities. Assessment is accomplished through analyses of the types of performances indicated.
LEARNING SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will know how to apply learning methods and tools developed to update and elaborate upon the studied contents, also in processional contexts, and embarking upon further studies.
The learning abilities acquired are a result of the entire period of study and are assessed individually with special emphasis to promoting study and research skills through the use of conventional tools and connected to new IT and communication technologies, to the individual home study ability and within groups, and to the autonomy in managing their own studies based on programmed deadlines.
