Readings/Bibliography

It is not necessary to purchase specialized texts. The teaching material presented in class is made available online through the specific application of the University of Bologna (Virtual).

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons held in presence. During the lessons the main information relating to the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the districts of ENT competence will be presented and discussed. These notions of a purely clinical nature will be appropriately integrated with nursing management teachings in order to promote the learning of the discipline in function of the future professional activity of the students.

Assessment methods

The final exam aims to assess the achievement of the educational objectives:
- Know the anatomical and physiological bases of the ENT districts.
- Know the main ENT pathologies and the related diagnostic pathways.
- Know the therapeutic and nursing management methodologies of the main ENT diseases.
Anyone who has not been present at 66% of the overall lessons of the entire CI will not be able to take the exam.
The learning assessment focuses on a written test, with 10 multiple-choice questions, which is carried out together with the Health and Nutrition test (10 questions), Physiotherapy (25 questions) and Nutrition and Eating Disorders (10 questions). The Health Law test will be oral and will take place on the same day, immediately after the written test. The TECO module is instead assessed separately by the respective teachers. Registration for the exam is online on Alma Esami and is valid for all tests, both written and oral; no registration requests will be accepted after the registration deadline.
The ENT test will be considered passed if the student answers at least 6 questions correctly. There are no penalties for incorrect answers. The result of this test will then be combined with that of the other courses of the integrated course and the exam will be passed if at least all the individual tests are sufficient. On the contrary, failing a single test will result in the entire exam being repeated in a subsequent session. The overall duration of the written test is 50 minutes. Tools such as cell phones, calculation aids, dictionaries, etc. cannot be used. The final grade will be communicated through Alma Esami and the student may refuse it by communicating this via email to the CI Coordinator.
