Readings/Bibliography

The purchase of specific textbooks is not required. Teaching materials, slides, and texts for this course will be provided through the Virtuale platform. In addition, a list of relevant studies and contributions will be made available as supplementary bibliographic material, recommended for further study but not directly subject to examination.

Teaching methods

The methods used to achieve the learning outcomes include:

In the presence of the Tutor:

  • Lectures, balanced with participatory methods to stimulate interaction and discussion.

  • Case discussions with extensive use of role-play, encouraging group discussion on the proposed material, and creating a welcoming and stimulating environment for trainees.

  • Experiential techniques and hands-on learning of procedures and techniques, which will be demonstrated, practiced, and, when possible, carried out under supervision by the trainees.

Individual and group work in progressive autonomy, with supervision but without the Tutor’s direct presence:

  • Further study through the review of scientific literature.

  • Preparation of reports on theoretical insights developed.

  • Development of skills in preparing reports on the planning and implementation of clinical psychological interventions, both individual and group.

  • Design of research projects related to support interventions for individuals affected by these conditions.

Assessment methods

The tutor will assess the trainee’s acquired skills both during and at the conclusion of the internship, using a standardized procedure established by the Department of Psychology. This will result in a quantitative evaluation and an eligibility certification valid for admission to the Practical Evaluation Exam.
