Learning outcomes
The seminars aim to explore selected criminological topics which, due to their specific relevance and undeniable contemporary significance, require in-depth analysis, including contributions from external experts and professionals.
Particular attention will be devoted to examining the relationship between crime, security, and the digital society.
A series of sessions will feature internationally renowned speakers, whose presentations will be delivered in a foreign language.
At the end of the seminar cycle, students will:

have acquired both theoretical knowledge and practical-operational skills related to the above-mentioned topics;

be able to apply these concepts to various issues concerning security and social control.
Course contents
The seminars, which will be held either in person and/or online via the MS Teams platform, will be conducted by experts and scholars from various disciplinary fields. The aim is to offer students a cross-cutting opportunity to deepen their understanding of the topics covered in individual courses, while encouraging dialogue with the world of research and professional practice.
Assessment methods
Assessment will be based on the content covered during the seminars and will be carried out through a multiple-choice test.
