Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student learns the basics of sustainable powertrain testing, including test facilities and testing equipment characteristics, test procedures, data analysis, modeling and control based on test data.
Course contents
Classroom activities:
- Introduction of testing activity in Industry
- Sensors and instrumentations for testing and monitoring of powertrains
- Pirnciple of Electric powertrains layout
- Modeling of Electrical behavior for a battey pack
Laboratory activities
- Experimental characterization of lump parameter model of a simplified thermal system
- Experimental characterization of Thermal behavior and data analysis of battery pack under typical mission profiles (charging and discharging)
- Experimental characterization of small battery pack
