Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be equipped to recognize, describe, and potentially prevent the most common types of implant-related risks. Specifically, students will be able to: recognize the clinical and radiographic signs of implant-related biological risks; recognize the clinical and radiographic signs of implant-related biomechanical risks; detect and appropriately report potential signs of risk to the appropriate authorities; actively prevent the development of potential implant-related problems; educate and encourage patients to actively participate in risk prevention.
Course contents
The teaching aims to train the student on the possible complications related to implant therapy. The topic will be developed in its many aspects, ranging from the most immediate consequences of the operative act to possible pathologies or complications related to implant rehabilitation. Due attention will be paid to the hygienic-preventive aspects and to the monitoring of implant rehabilitation.

Teaching methods
Lectures are held in front of the students, supported by audiovisual systems. Some practical simulations are also planned.
Assessment methods
Final oral exam.
