Learning outcomes
At the end of the internship, the student will be able to recognize, deal with and solve complex cases related to prevention issues.
Course contents
- Traumatic dental injuries of the teeth in mixed and permanent dentition: epidemiology and prevention guidelines.
- The orthodontic-orthopedic disorders: epidemiology and prevention guidelines.
- Caries risk assessment in children and adolescents and prevention.
- The role of the pediatrician in the promotion of oral health in children and adolescents.

Teaching methods
Working groups on subjects identified by the students in agreement with the teacher and theoretical and practical exercises at the Departments of Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry of DIBINEM.
Assessment methods
Oral presentation of a bibliographic review on a selected topic.
Diagnosis and therapeutic options of clinical cases.
