Readings/Bibliography
It is not necessary to purchase specialized texts. The teaching material presented in class is made available online through the specific application of the University of Bologna (Virtuale).
Teaching methods
Frontal lessons held in presence. During the lessons the main information relating to the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the districts of ENT competence will be presented and discussed. These notions of a purely clinical nature will be appropriately integrated with nursing management teachings in order to promote the learning of the discipline in function of the future professional activity of the students.
Assessment methods
The final exam aims to assess the achievement of the educational objectives:
- To know the anatomical and physiological bases of the ENT districts.
- To know the main ENT pathologies and the related diagnostic pathways.
- To know the therapeutic and nursing management methodologies of the main ENT diseases.
Anyone who has not been present at 75% of the entire cycle of lessons of this IC will not be able to take the exam.
The learning assessment focuses on a written test, with 10 multiple-choice questions, which is carried out together with the tests of Ophthalmology (10 questions), Urology (10 questions), Physiotherapy (25 questions) and Radiotherapy (10 questions). The TECO module is instead evaluated separately by the respective teachers. Registration for the exam takes place online on Alma Esami; registration requests after the deadline will not be accepted.
The ENT test will be considered passed if the student answers at least 6 questions correctly. The outcome of this test will then be combined with that of the other teachings of the integrated course and the exam will be passed if at least all the individual tests are sufficient. On the contrary, failing a single test will result in the repetition of the entire exam in a subsequent session. The overall duration of the written test is 60 minutes. Tools such as calculation aids, dictionaries, etc. cannot be used. The grade will be communicated through Alma Esami and the student may, if necessary, refuse it by communicating it via email.
