Learning outcomes

At the end of the module, the student is able to recognize the risks for operators and patients in different places of care and applies the knowledge to ensure safety.

Course contents

Art.37 of Legislative Decree 81/2008 * Healthcare working environments - specific characteristics; * Manual handling of loads and patients; * Physical risks (noise, vibrations, microclimate, etc.); * Chemical risk (individual and collective protection); * Medical gases in cylinders; * Work-related stress, psychosocial distress, violence from third parties and gender differences; * Instructions for the management of emergencies in the workplaces of the Romagna Local Health Authority. * Biological risk, health surveillance, vaccinations, working mothers, night work * Risks of ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation Notes on clinical risk and techniques for involving patients and their caregivers in promoting safety in hospital and home settings The importance of using the health procedures/documentation in use within the Romagna Local Health Authority and company tools
