Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student must possess skills that extend and strengthen the operational and research methods of nursing and midwifery sciences acquired in the first cycle in relation to the use of information systems and database management.

Course contents

General aspects of spreadsheets used for collecting and processing health data.

The work environment and use of the Spreadsheet: formatting, formulas, functions, pivot tables, graphical representations, advanced functions and features.

Material provided by the teacher.

Teaching methods

Interactive mode with spreadsheet exercises.

Assessment methods

The exam aims to verify the achievement of the following learning objectives of knowledge and skills regarding:

• spreadsheet and data formatting tools;

• calculation operations and functions;

• data tables and pivot tables;

• graphical representation of data;

• advanced data analysis functions.

The exam is written and is graded out of thirtieths.

Final grade grading: Complete application ability of basic functions 18-22; Application ability of pivot tables → 23-26; Correct application ability including advanced functions → 27-30L;
