Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to describe the main clinical characteristics of the most common pathologies susceptible to surgical treatment. Attending the course the student will be able to recongnized signs and symptoms of the main surgical diseases and he also we able to set up a diagnostic and therapeutic path for the patients.

Surgical techiniques of the main surgical procedures will be explained and described also with support of surgical videos. Postoperative complications and surgical outcomes will also be described.

For neoplastic diseases clinical and strumental follow-up will be discussed

Surgical treatment of functional and neoplastic diseases of the esophagus

Gastric neoplasia and surgical treatment

Surgical anatomy of the liver. Surgical management of benign and malignant tumors of the liver

Liver transplantation

Gallbladder lithiasis: surgical treatment and management of surgical complications

Acute and chronic pancreatitis

Pancreatic tumors and their surgical treatment

Neuroendocrin Tumors

Small bowel neoplasia end their surgical treatment

Surgical treatment of small bowel diseases: crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis

Diverticular disease of the colon

Colon rectum tumors and their surgical management

Benign ano-rectal diseases

Abdominal and incisional hernias and their surgical management

Adrenal surgery

Thyroid surgery

Surgical tratment of brest cancer

Pathologies of the spleen of surgical interest
