Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has acquired knowledge related to the anatomy, histology and pathophysiology of the muscular fascia. Acquires palpatory assessment skills of myofascial tissues and is able to detect and treat the presence of fascial alterations

Course contents

Anatomy, physiology and histology of the fascia.

Pathological Mechanisms of Fascia.

Band Evaluation.

Myofascial Release Techniques.

Treatment of Specific Areas of the Body.

Integration of Techniques into the Global Treatment Plan.

Demonstration of motor, palpatory examination and manipulative intervention.

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons

Practical tests of palpation of fascial tissue among students with teacher's guidance.

Manipulative treatment of fascial tissue guided by the teacher.

N.B. In consideration of the types of activities and teaching methods adopted, the attendance of this training activity requires that all students of modules 1 and 2 carry out in e-learning mode and the participation in the third specific training module on safety and health in places of study/traineeship.

Assessment methods

The final exam foresees the achievement of the didactic objectives of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

The written part includes 15 multiple choice questions with the score of 2 points for each correct answer;

The practical part foresees the treatment of an anatomical district by the student;

The final grade will establish the student's elegibility
