Learning outcomes
A the end of the course, the student: knows and is able to assess the main muscular, metabolic, cardiovascular and respiratory responses to exercise in athletes from various sports and of different performance level (amateur to elite), knows the interactions between hormones and sport performance; knows the long-term morphological, neuromuscular, cardiovascular, respiratory and endocrine adaptations to training; is able to quantitatively assess these responses and interpret them against normative data; knows the influence of age, gender, and environment on the physiological responses to exercise.
