73459 - CAD Basics and Industrial Product Design T

Academic Year 2020/2021

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in Industrial Design (cod. 8182)

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student has the skills to understand the features and capabilities of a CAD system through the study of its basic components , hardware and software . Also it acquired the necessary know-how in the design of objects and components and related technical standards of design through a commercial 2D drawing environment .

Course contents

The course aims to provide the necessary basis for the interpretation and execution of the technical design . After a first part dedicated to the geometric design , examines the main standards to be used for the correct representation of detail and assembly drawings ( overall ) . A special emphasis on the role played by each in the assembly and especially the influence of the production system for the correct selection of forms and accurate indication of the additional information to be included ( size , dimensions and geometric errors acceptable , etc . ) . There are practical exercises that explains and assigned some tables related to mechanical components or systems diagrams that the student performs during the course , or at least submit to the teacher at the time of the examination .
