Learning outcomes
The student is familiar with the basic notions of German Literature and is able to identify them in specific literary texts. This enables him/her to deepen his/her knowledge and to develop new methodologies related to the interpretation of literary texts.

Texts of the following authors will be read and analyzed: Wolfgang Borchert, Elisabeth Langgässer; Heinrich Böll, Hermann Kasack, Siegfried Lenz, Kurt Marti, Marie Luise Kaschnitz, Ilse Aichinger, Thomas Mann, Peter Bichsel, Thomas Bernhard.
Teaching methods
Frontal lessons in the classroom, group discussions (papers to present to the class)

The final oral exam will deal with the readings and themes discussed during the course.
