Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to study and critically analyze the most important Italian poets and writers from 16th to 18th century.
Course contents
The program is divided in two parts:
A- Monographic;
B- Renaissance and Modern Italian Literature.
Most of the material will be covered in class lectures; it is important that you attend class and take accurate notes.
Read enough in primary and secondary sources to be familiar with the style, subjects and literary and historical setting of the following works and authors.

It must be done before the oral examination.
- Final Oral Examination
Students must sit a written paper comprising of a series of questions that aim to ascertain students' understanding of the history and theory of the literature of Modern Age presented during lectures, and a practical problem similar to the ones dealt with during the practical exercises related to the course lectures.
