Learning outcomes

The Elective Course represents an opportunity for close examination of proctology topics which, although very popular and frequently experienced in the daily clinical practice, are not treated or just marginally dealt with during the Main Course

The purpose of the Course is to provide the future General Practitioner (GP) a more specific vision of the most common proctologic diseases with the description of pathophysiology through presentation of clinical cases: from analysis of symptoms, choice of laboratory and instrumental Diagnostics, surgical indications, to surgical technique.

The aim of this Course is to provide the future GP the basical issues of proctological diseases diagnosis and treatment, giving a variety of informations as much as possible objective, updated on current surgical techniques and avant-garde, so that he will be able to provide correct informations to his patients, to communicate proficiently with the surgeon who has entrusted them and to carry out competently the fundamental role of the connection element between patient and specialist surgeon.

Monday 21/01/13 Prof. COLA 14.00-16.00 Anal Incontinence–Haemorrhoids.

Wednesday 23/01/13 All the Lecturers 14.00-16.00 Conclusions and multiple choice Quiz.

In DS, Proctological and Endoscopic Outpatient Clinic days, students will be divided into subgroups depending on the number of subscribed members. Lectures will be held at  “Aula Didattica”, 2° floor, Nuovo Polo

Proctological Outpatient Clinic (Prof. Cola) is located at ground floor, Pad. 5, Ambulatorio n.6

Endoscopic Outpatient Clinic (Prof. Cola e Prof. Poggioli) is located at ground floor, Pad. 25

Lectures will be held by Prof. Cola, Prof. Poggioli, Dr. Laureti and Dr. Dalla Via.
