- Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Architecture (cod. 0881)
Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide the tools of knowledge of digital technology in order to use the computer as a tool for architectural design complete. Particular attention will be devoted to the use of the potential of this tool as a function of the creative process and management system of information and data that characterize the project. Switch from design, development, representation, until the construction site of the project without having to implement a process of reductive simplification in the execution phase, this is not one of the objectives of the secondary course.
Course contents
BIM software is an innovative method that acts as a bridge between
different responsibilities: architecture, engineering and
construction industry. Thanks to BIM, architects and engineers can
create and efficiently generate and exchange information, create
digital presentations of all phases of the construction process.
The software allows you to manage and develop all the stages that
characterize a project: from the initial conception of the project
to the development of the various levels of detail, from the
presentation and communication to the collection and production of
project documentation. The use of BIM is a tool which allows you to
switch from design, development, representation, until the
construction site of the project without having to implement a
process of reductive simplification in the execution phase. The
course will be based on the use of Autodesk Revit Architecture
software and will be played by the alternation of teroriche
frontalli sessions and practical sessions in which to capitalize on
the operational learned. These practical sessions will be used as
verification of acquired skills and so further calibrate the
information needs of the learners. During the course, the practical
activities will be aimed at modeling (from preliminary preparation
to the ability to render photo-realistic) of real buildings and
renowned that will be announced in the days before the beginning of
the course.

Teaching methods
The course will be held by the alternation of teroriche frontalli
sessions and practical sessions in which to capitalize on the
operational learned. These practical sessions will be used as
verification of acquired skills and so further calibrate the
information needs of the learners.
During the course, the practical activities will be aimed at
modeling (from preliminary preparation to the ability to render
photo-realistic) of real buildings and renowned that will be
announced in the days before the beginning of the course.
The meetings will take 8 hours and will take place throughout the
day.
Assessment methods
During the course, will be proposed exercises that will be subjected to final assessment.
Teaching tools
The course will focus on the development of an architectural project using the platform Autodesk Revit ® Architecture. From a project already defined, the course will address the various issues related to its development in key executive implementing a continuous exchange of information and interoperability between software and operators.
