Learning outcomes

After this course, the student knows the legal issues related to the economic activities on the Internet. The student knows the basic legal instruments in relation to contract law and person liable for damages.

Course contents

  • The norms regulating legal acts on the Internet
  • The applicable legislation
  • The contract as the most effective means for innovation and regulation on the Internet: contracts for accessing the network, e-commerce contracts (B2B and B2C), computer contracts (regarding such issues as software development, software licensing, etc.), the new contracts
  • The electronic signature, including the Italian digital signature
  • Fundamental rights on the Internet and torts
  • The protection of IT software, databases, multimedia, with an analysis of various legal instruments: copyright, patents, a sui generis protection
  • Means of payment. The electronic money
