Giusella Dolores Finocchiaro

Giusella Finocchiaro is a full Professor of Private Law and Internet Law. She was formerly a Professor at the School of Sciences and is currently a Professor at the Department of Legal Sciences. She was the Director of the  “Security and privacy” Master's degree programme. She has also been responsible for numerous research projects, including PRIN (Project of  significant national interest )projects and a European project in FP7. She is a past member of the ISA Board and of the Evaluation Working Group of the Research Observatory. She represents Italy at the UNCITRAL Working Group on Electronic Commerce and she is also the Chairperson. She is a fellow of the Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute. She was the President of the "Fondazione del Monte in Bologna and Ravenna" and she held other corporate positions. She is admitted to plea before the Italian Supreme Court. She was the President of the Working Group appointed by the Ministry of Justice to draft the decree ensuring alignment of the Italian legal system with the European Regulation on protection of personal data.
