Aim of the course is to provide basic knowdledge about supersonic flows.

Course contents

Supersonic Flow; Linearised Supersonic Flow; Prandtl_Meyer Expansion; Oblique Shock Waves; Shock Polar; Rankine-Hugoniot Equation; Characteristic Ratios across a Shock Wave versus Normal Mach Number; Shock Waves in Nozzles; Airfoils in Supersonic Flow. Swept and delta wings.
