After completing this course, students obtain the knowledge and

- write and manage technical standards and specifications for various type of organizations (private and public companies, universities,...)

- History of the certification and basic concepts in IT quality and law - Definitions
- Basic concepts in IT quality and law:
- Fundamentals: specification, standards, how is born, distributed and implemented a technical norm
- Fundamentals: certification, metrology and measure in IT, mutual recognition of certifications
- Fundamentals: the various forms of certification (product, system, process) and types (first, second or third part)
- Fundamentals: national and international technical normation bodies (ISO, ETSI , CEN, UNI ,...).
- Fundamentals: inspection, certification and accreditation bodies
- Technical standards of Internet: special charateristic and dedicated technical bodies (IETF, W3C,...)
- Project management and technical standards: systems management
- Technical standards in IT: software development process and quality (ISO 9126, ISO 9001 , ISO 90003...)
- Technical standards of IT: usability and accessibility (ISO 9241, ISO/TS 16071, ISO13407,...)

Few existing texts cover a complete course topics (nobody covers them all!), So are just a few reference books, in addition to the teacher's lecture notes and material downloaded from the Internet

Teaching methods
The course is made of lessons and seminars, practice exercises. It is suggested to attend classes because true dedicated text books do not not exist. Frequency anyway is not mandatory, but the workload for non-attending students is objectively more than for attending students.
Assessment methods
Ongoing tests conducted in the classroomduring the course.
Oral examination constituted by a not notional discussion to asses
the general comprehension of the subject from the student
