Course contents

The aim of the course is to provide a general knowledge of the main topics of modern African history through the analysis of methodological tools and  historiographical debate. The main themes: oral and written sources; methodology and historical research; African politics; Atlantic and Asia slave trade; Islam and African society; Chtistianity and Islam; Colonialism, nationalism and postcolonial society. Seminars will be held for undergraduated and Ph. D students
