Teaching methods
The concept of landscape is explained according to different approaches that characterized it in different ages. Main elements and instruments for visual analysis of landscape and territorial components and of projects are then explained. Explanation and discussions about case studies and practical lessons will allow the students to get a critical ability in analysing landscape and to recognize perceptive issues defining characters of sites.
Assessment methods
The final examination tests the student's knowledge about the whole course, by means of oral tests and graphical papers about some of the explained methodologies.
Teaching tools
Overhead projector; PC and PCprojector; maps; PC and software for CAD and GIS simulation and digital rendering.
