Full professor, coordinator of the "Rural buildings and agroforestry territory" LAB. Main research topics, in the agricultural and biosystems engineering field: design of structures for animal (focus on PLF) and plant production (lighting in protected crops), spatial planning in peri-urban and rural areas. Author of more than 300 papers. Responsible for several national and international research projects. GE of Special Issue Sustainability. SE of CIGR Journal, EB Member of “Journal of agricultural Engineering". President of the 2nd section of the Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering. Chairman of the EurAgEng WG 'Rural Buildings and Landscape' and of the CIGR WG 'Rural landscape protection and valorization'. Unibo representative in the Uniscape network. Rector’s Delegate to Academic Referent of the Imola branch of UNIBO. ANVUR system and disciplinary expert. Winner of several scientific prizes and awards.
