Learning outcomes

This six months's course, twice a week, starts with the study of the portuguese language and as the aim to give to the students the basic tools to be able to talk with portuguese people, in an elementary way. Through the language study, mostly concerning the lexicon, the orthography, the phonetics, the phonology and the morfology structures, at the end of his own course, the student will be able to speak with portuguese people, talk about his own life, say his own opinion, make a description, give advices, deny, and other.

Course contents

Using some useful texts the student will learn and study to know how to use it, in some of this specific themes:

 

- personal presentation;

- how to introduce someone;

- personal day life description, own family and town;

- lets go to the doctor! (kind of doctor, deseases, medicines);

- food (menus, ingredients, recipies);

- free time, hobbies, sports;

- future projects of personal aims;

- expressions of joy, sadness, opinions, critics;

- shooping;

- travels and hollidays;

- how the weather like;

- several kind of commerce (caracteristics, what to buy and how to pay).

Also with some several exercises written and verbal, the gramatical structures to study are the following ones: 

- names and adjectives number and type;

- the feminine form;

- thle plural form;

- the articles;

- the adverbs;

- the interrogative pronouns;

- the indefiny pronouns;

- the demonstrative pronouns;

- the possessive pronouns;

- the personal pronouns;

- the numbers;

- the verbal forms: Presente, Pretérito Perfeito Simples, Pretérito Perfeito Composto;

- the Past Participle regular, irregular and double form;

- the phrasel verbs;

- the prepositions.
