Learning outcomes

The combinatorial chemistry is the Science of molecular diversity and rational screening.

Course contents

Synthesis of combinatorial libraries using portioning-mixing procedure. One bead-one compound combinatorial library method. Synthesis and screening of positional scanning synthetic combinatorial libraries. Highthroughput combinatorial synthesis of discrete compounds: non-chemical encoding and direct sorting. Positional addressable parallel synthesis. Resins and anchors for solid phase organic synthesis. Organic reactions on solid support: an overview. Analytical methods in combinatorial chemistry. Multicomponents reactions for chemical libraries: Biginelli, Passerini and Ugi.Combinatorial methods for materials discovery. Combinatorial methods for discovery of biologically active compounds.
