Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student knows the materials used for functional bandaging and the principles for their use in the main neuro-musculoskeletal pathologies. Acquires skills in making the most used functional bandages
Course contents
Indications, contraindications and limits of functional bandaging and neuromuscular taping
Choice of materials and execution criteria
types of functional bandage depending on the pathology and the affected area, or depending on the function.
Purpose of the bandage in muscle, joint and tendon problems.
Basic shapes: spiral turn, helical turn, figure eight, palisade figure, intertwined figure, butterfly figure or 'x' system.
Compression bandaging, therapeutic bandaging, preventive functional bandaging, taping.
