Course contents
Neonatal classification. Neonatal adaptation. Clinical examination of the healthy newborn. Congenital heart disease. Neonatal respiratory diseases (TTN, RDS, meconium aspiration syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia). Perinatal asphyxia. Traumatic brain injury at birth. Neonatal jaundice. Diseases of the preterm infant: IVH, NEC, ROP. Short and long term clinical outcome of preterm infants. Infant feeding and human milk. Vaccines. Neonatal sepsis and meningitis.
