Learning outcomes

The couse aims do give the basic

knowledges  of Greek Language and literature thanks to the direct analysis of texts and documents. at the end of the course the student acquires the fundamental tools for inserting a text in its historical and cultural context, with special attention to material culture, myth, rituals and institutions,

About Greek Historical Grammar, ,we recommend P. Chantraine, Morphologie historique du grec, Paris, Klincksieck 1971 e ristampe. As for Iliad, un'edizione a scelta fra quella einaudiana (con traduzione di Rosa Calzecchi Onesti) e quella pubblicata da BUR (con traduzione di Giovanni Cerri). Per Odissea XI si consiglia l'uso di La Nekyia omerica (Odissea XI) nella traduzione di Cesare Pavese. a cura di Eleonora Cavallini, Alessandria, Edizioni dell'Orso, 2015. Interactive seminars, with participation of famous professors.

Assessment methods

Oral examination.

A very high degree (30-30L) implies a very depthened knowledge of the subject, with high capacity of critical analysis and mastering of the specifical terminology.

A degree equal or over 27 implies an accurate and depthened knowledge of the subjects treated. We will also consider the quality of the delivering. 

A good knowledge of the subjects treated in the course, united with a sufficient use of the language, will deserve discreet degrees (23-26).

A sufficient knowledge of the subjects and of the language will determinate sufficient degrees.
