Learning outcomes

Through pratical skills, the laboratory aims to provide the students with essential knowledge about audiovisual production, from screenwriting to post-production. The course will take into account the nature of the media - both traditional and digital - and the aims of the message they are going to convey.
At the end of the course the student: - will know how to develop a concept for the audiovisual production; - will know all the different steps for a video pre-production; - will be able to apply the main skills of the audiovisual production; - will be able to apply acquired technical knowledge and translate know-how in video editing terms. 

Course contents

The laboratory will be organized in a cycle of 30 hours during which audiovisual theoretical notions will be tested and transferred practically through the use of videocameras, editing and post-production softwares, available at DAMSlab positions.

Teaching methods

The activities will be carried out in the presence of the teacher in the well-equiped spaces of DAMSlab.

Assessment methods

During the course students will have the possibility to practice at DAMSlab.
At the end of the course, it will be requested to ideate an individual final work with a personal presentation of its concept and communication aims.
