Learning outcomes
The student of this course will address the issues of transportation infrastructures in urban and metropolitan areas starting from the genesis of the road. Through the development of the road infrastructure the way modern roads are constructed will be discussed. A course section is related to road paving project in urban areas and to their monitoring and maintenance.

Design work in groups of 2-3 students: Design of a road intervention in urban areas.
The student will be able to make autonomous design choices corresponding to the most common and modern methods and technologies for the Road Construction.
