Learning outcomes

The module aims to provide the basis of the structural design in archeological sites.

Course contents

The "Structural Architecture" module contents are:

- The relationship between shape and structure;

- The innovative structural materials with a particular focus on sustainable natural material;

- The main factors influencing the structural choices;

- The process of structural design;

- Analysis of the main structural types;

- Issues of design and verification.

Teaching methods

The course consists of lectures and guided activities. The activities consist of guided exercises on structural design.

Assessment methods

For the achievement of suitability at the Laboratorio di Laurea, each student will develop a design on the proposed topic of the Laboratory on "Architecture for Archeology".

To verify the achievement of the specific learning outcomes of the Course "Structural Architecture", review on structural aspects will be carried out.
