Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student is able to use the appropriate informatics tools that allows to compute basic statistical analysis.

Course contents

Prerequisites.


It is recommended the knowledge of Mathematics and of Descriptive Statistics.

Course contents.

Phases of statistical analysis. Cleaning and organisation of a real dataset. Explorative analysis and graphical representation.

Introduction to the open-source R software.

Analysis of the association between 2 or more variables and interpretation of the obtained results. Production of a statistical report with the aim of presenting the results.

All the topics are presented and developed using the tools provided by Microsoft Excel and R.
