Graduates and employment: the University of Bologna among the world’s top 100

A substantial improvement for the University of Bologna, rising to position number 84 of the QS Graduate Employability Rankings, which evaluates universities for their ability to provide students’ with employment and successful careers.

The latest QS Graduate Employability Rankings lists the University of Bologna among the world’s top 100 best athenaeums for the ability to provide students with employment and successful careers. The renowned QS Graduate Employability Rankings measures employability across universities all over the world.

The Alma Mater rises to position number 84, a significant progress compared to last year’s range (111-120). This improvement is due to an overall better performance in every indicator composing the final outcome.

In particular, the University of Bologna stands out for its 18th position worldwide in the indicator measuring partnerships with employers. This great achievement mirrors the University’s and employers’ joint research effort and its wide variety of internships.

The University of Bologna obtains good results in other indicators as well: in the “Employer Reputation”, measuring employers’ satisfaction with graduates’ competence; in the “Alumni Outcomes”, evaluating graduates’ careers; in the “Employment Rate”, assessing graduates’ employment within 12 months of graduation.

“Being among the world’s best universities in these rankings is a great achievement”, says Rector Francesco Ubertini. “These results crucially acknowledge the work we have done in recent years on four main areas: teaching innovation, students’ soft-skills development, the enhancement of the University’s international dimension and the ongoing strengthening of the relations between public and private institutions at the local level.”
