Implementation agreements

General agreements on specialist training.

In 2006, the Universities of Emilia Romagna signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emilia Romagna Region on specialist medical training of Medical graduates.

Subsequently, the University of Bologna signed other implementing agreements within the general protocol with the University Polyclinic S. Orsola Malpighi, the Bologna Health and the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, which represent the three main sites of specialist medical training.

These agreements include important standards relevant to the medical students in various areas (organisation of training activities, participation of the medical student in care activities, progression of care responsibilities, meals, clothing, etc.).

Moreover, following the Local Implementing Agreement with the S.Orsola Polyclinic, the University and Health Board drafted a joint Guide to the Agreement. This is a sort of explanatory handbook which considers the various stakeholders, clarifying "who does what" in this particularly context.
